OUR STORY

In 2022, our lives changed forever.

Hi, my name is Nikki. At 36 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer and was told by a doctor that I was going to die. My husband and I had two children who were only 15 and 16 years old. Suddenly, everything we had planned for our future felt uncertain. We couldn't think about next year, next month, or even next week without wondering what was ahead.

I spent an entire week waiting for my oncology appointment believing my time was running out. The fear, anxiety, and emotions that come with thinking you may not be here to watch your children grow up or grow old with your spouse are impossible to fully describe.

But God had other plans.

Through every treatment, surgery, setback, and appointment, the Lord carried us. He gave us strength when we felt weak, peace when we were afraid, and hope when the future seemed uncertain. My husband stood beside me every step of the way, and through it all we witnessed God's faithfulness in ways we never had before. Today, I give all the glory to God for saving my life and allowing me to continue this journey with my family.

That experience changed us. It made us more aware of what we were putting in and on our bodies, and inspired us to be more intentional about the way we live. While everyone has different opinions about health and nutrition, we personally believe that reducing exposure to unnecessary chemicals is an important part of caring for the bodies God has given us.

Out of that journey, Blessed Roots Farm & Plants and the Reap What You Sow Farm Shop were born.

What began as one of the hardest seasons of our lives became a calling. We felt led to provide our community with cleaner, healthier food grown with care and integrity. We use organic growing practices because we believe food should nourish the body, not burden it. Our goal is to provide fresh, quality produce for our family and yours while being good stewards of the land God has entrusted to us.

Everything we grow is planted with purpose, nurtured with care, and harvested with gratitude. We aren't just growing vegetables—we're cultivating health, community, and a deeper appreciation for God's provision.
